"The Meeting" at Amerika Haus
Amerika Haus
Vienna, April 24, 2008
Jeff Stetson’s acclaimed play “The Meeting” was performed at Vienna’s Amerika Haus on April 24. Invited by the U.S. Embassy and the Vienna Board of Education, a group of Austrian English language teachers took the opportunity to evaluate the play as something they could offer their students. The play is about a fictitious meeting between Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X and had its successful Austrian premiere in February during mission’s Black History Month charity festival.
As a result of the preview, many school students are going to attend productions of the play later this year.
