"Winning the White House: The 2008 Election and the Campaign of History"

Vienna
June 5, 2008

PROGRAM BRIEF (pdf) - prepared by the American Reference Center

Talks on the 2008 presidential elections usually draw crowds to the Embassy’s Amerika Haus. This was again the case on June 5, when Robert Schmuhl, professor of American Studies and Journalism at the University of Notre Dame, offered his take on the candidates and their campaigns. This unbiased and pointed talk gave an insight into the dynamics of American politics, and highlighted the key factors in the decision process of American voters. The audience of close to 200 high school and university students, academia, media and the general public were eager to learn more about it in the Q&A.
