Vienna, September 16, 2009
In cooperation with the Austrian Filmmuseum in Vienna, the U.S. Embassy Vienna's Public Affairs Section organized a screening of Martin Scorsese’s dark classic, The King of Comedy, for several Austrian secondary school classes. Counselor for Public Affairs Bob Hugins, U.S. Embassy Vienna, introduced the movie to 130 students and engaged them in a discussion afterwards on the film and topics such as celebrities, stalking, the media, and American film. The program on September 16 was part of a comprehensive, one-month Scorsese retrospective at the Filmmuseum.
