Vienna’s Amerika Haus was packed on October 13 when Austrian photographer Ulrich Eigner presented his series “The Myth of the Cowboy.” The award winning exhibit focuses on the lives and perception of cowboys in today’s America. Eigner, a former Fulbright Fellow at Illinois State University, was joined by Bradley University Professor Timothy Conley, whose analysis of the emergence of the cowboy myth in late 19th century American fiction provided the basis for a lively Q&A.
