NOTARIAL SERVICES

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Acknowledgement of a signature on documents for use in the United States. Used with deeds, powers of attorney, bills of sale, corporate acknowledgements, etc.

AFFIDAVIT

Written declaration made under oath of affirmation; a sworn statement.

Examples: marriage affidavit (Ledigkeitsbescheinigung), paternity affidavit, affidavit concerning lost passports, etc.

Note: We cannot authenticate U.S. documents such as marriage certificate, divorce degree, death certificate, etc. Under the Hague Convention, an Apostille by a U.S. clerk of court of a State Secretary or State certifies authenticity of a U.S. document.

Fee for the first notarization on a given day is USD 30 and USD 20 (or the equivalent in Euro) for each additional notarization dealing with the same subject or transaction on the same day.

Office hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 - 11:30 am, except Austrian and American holidays.

Please note: If your document must also be witnessed, please bring your own witnesses with you. Consular officers and staff may NOT be witnesses for notarial purposes.
