NON-IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR IRANIAN CITIZENS
Iran does not have a U.S. Embassy. Where can Iranians apply for nonimmigrant visas?
Iranians may make appointments and apply for nonimmigrant visas at any nonimmigrant visa issuing post including Vienna. However, Vienna is temporarily without a Farsi-speaking officer. If you do not speak English or German, you should be aware that the interviewing officers' lack of familiarity with your language and the conditions in your country may make it more difficult for you to demonstrate your qualifications for a visa. We have Farsi-speaking consular officers at our Consulate in Dubai and our Embassy in Ankara, and many Iranian nonimmigrant visa applicants choose to apply there.
Each Iranian who is physically present in Austria may seek a non-immigrant visa application appointment at the Consular Section (located at Parkring 12A, 1010 Vienna) of the U.S. Embassy in Vienna.
All visa application appointments are exclusively (without any exception) scheduled through the Visa Information/Visa application hotline:
VISA INFORMATION/VISA APPLICATION APPOINTMENT HOTLINE FOR CALLERS LOCATED IN AUSTRIA
(Live Operators): Tel.: 0900-510300 (Euro 2,16/min)
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 8:00 pm (local Austrian time)
Our Visa Information and Appointment Scheduling Service Representatives are available to take your calls Monday - Friday, from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm, local Austrian time. The call center staff are not consular employees and cannot make commitments about visa issuance.
In order to serve you better, as an additional free service the Visa Information Service will provide each caller who schedules a visa application interview appointment with an email, confirming the day and time of the visa appointment, as well as providing additional helpful information, concerning the required documentation and the visa application process itself.
We recommend that you plan your visa application well in advance of your anticipated travel. The application process may require several weeks.
YOU NEED TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WHEN APPLYING FOR A VISA:
